1 - Day 1: 21st April, Istanbul
Arrive in Istanbul. You will be picked by our guide with a private vehicle, then will be transferred to your hotel, relax in the hotel or head out to explore the city. Istanbul, easy to get around on foot and there are plenty of restaurants and cafes around. Overnight in Istanbul.
2 - Day 2: 22nd April, Full day Historical Istanbul Tour
Today we are going to have a full day historical walking tour. We will visit stunning examples of architecture that hail from the Byzantine and Ottoman Empire eras. We will visit Blue Mosque, Hippodrome, Hagia Sophia which was constructed as a Basilica in the 6th century by Emperor Justinian. Topkapi place which was the main residential palace of Ottoman Sultans until the new palace Dolmabahce was built. Then we will head to the Grand Bazaar which has more than 10 thousand shops. Take your time and get lost in the narrow streets of the Bazaar. Overnight in Istanbul.
3 - Day 3: 24th April, Bosphorus & Two Continents tour – Istanbul
Today we will pick you by bus down to the Bosphorus. On arrival, we will pick a public ferry and have a two hours’ cruise tour. You will be able to see the Ottoman palaces, castles, mansions, bridges and greenery of Bosphorus. After the cruise tour, we will drive to Dolmabahce palace in which the Ottoman Sultans ruled three continents at last three hundred years of Empire. Then we will proceed to Galata Bridge to have a tasty fish for lunch. After the lunch we will drive up to the Camlica Hill where you can see both sides of the city Istanbul and figure out how big the city is. Then we will drive back to European side and visit the Egyptian Bazaar which has been a spice bazaar and Turkish delights and so on. Overnight in Istanbul.
4 - Day 4: 24th April, Istanbul – Canakkale- Troy
An early departure today to Canakkale. After 4 hours driving we will arrive at Gallipoli and get a ferry to the Asian side to visit Troy. We will visit the famous archaeological and epical Troy. Homers Iliad which was written two hundred years after the war and being at the skirt of Mount Ida and the edge of Dardanelles made it easy to be taken over by many different empires in different eras. That has been creating different historical layers at the site. You will be amazed by seeing how much history cascades a city. After we have break at the Trojan Horse which was built 1970s and brought there as a replica we will get the bus and go for a local lunch. Then we will go back to hotel to get ready for going to the Peninsula. We will go through the routine process before to get to the Dawn Service area. Overnight at Anzac Cove.
Note: Follow your guides directions before going to the Dawn Service area as once you arrive there you won’t be allowed to go back to your hotel as long as an urgent case.
5 - Day 5: 25th April, Gallipoli- Istanbul
Today is the Anzac Day, the commemoration starts by the first light of the day.
05:30 – 06:15 Dawn Service, Anzac Commemorative Site, North Beach
09:30 – 10:15 Australian Memorial Service, Lone Pine
11:30 – 12:15 New Zealand memorial service, Chunuk Bair
After all the services are done we will travel to Istanbul. Check in to the hotel. Overnight at Istanbul.
6 - Day 6: 26th April, Istanbul
Breakfast at the hotel. Then you will be transferred to Istanbul Airport depending on your scheduled departure.
