Today we have a walking day tour at Sultanahmet. We will start with Hippodrome where the romans were doing chariot races. You will see Theodosius and Constantine obelisks and Serpent Column. Then we will head to Blue Mosque which was built in 16th century. Its six minarets and thousands of blue tiles will overwhelm you. Afterwards we will walk to the Topkapi palace which was the first palace of Ottoman Empire. Then we will have a break for lunch at the square. After we will walk to the Hagia Sophia which was built at 5th century by Emperor Justinian. You will be overwhelmed by the enormity of the dome. Back to hotel. Overnight at Istanbul.
Today we will pick you by a van and head to the Dolmabahce Palace. The last six Sultans of Ottomans used this palace. You will be amazed by this modern Barok style palace. Then we will get a ferry for a two hours trip on the Bosphorus. You will see Ottoman houses, palaces, bridges etc. After we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will get the bus and drive up to the Camlica hill where you can see the both sides of city Istanbul and the proximity of the two continents. Then we will go to Spice Market where you can buy spices and some other souvenirs. We will end our tour at Grand Bazaar.
Today we have an early flight to Cappadocia. After one and half hour flight we will be at Kayseri airport. You will be picked up and drive to Cappadocia. before check into the hotel we will visit Goreme open air museum, Pasabag Monks Valley and Devrent Valley. Afterwards we will have lunch at a local restaurant. Then we will head to Uchisar Castle. Check into hotel. Overnight at Cappadocia.
You will be woken up at 4:30 am for the balloon today. It is optional and your company will inform you beforehand about the price and the availability. After you land you will be picked up and drive back to hotel. After some rest and breakfast we will drive to Derinkuyu underground city. The Cappadocian were using these shelters during wars and invasions. After we will stop at a few panoramic places to get some shots. Afterwards we will have lunch. After lunch we will drive to Avanos where is known with its ceramics since antiquity. We will visit one of the workshop and watch how they have been making ceramics. Then we will drive to Ortahisar Castle.
End of services. You will be picked up and fly back to Istanbul airport. You can arrange your flight as connected. So when you arrive you can get to the connected flight or if you like to stay more in Istanbul. Get in contact to your company beforehand to book your hotel and transfer.
